Sending wishes & sharing love - Mid Autumn Festival 2017

The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of Vietnam’s most charming and colourful annual events, it is also considered a special occasion for family reunions, by getting together to enjoy mooncakes when children eagerly welcome the moon by holding colourful lanterns in their hands, listening to the beating drum of the lion.
Mum, what is the shape of the Moon!? What does the beating of drum sound like!? Those innocent questions make us realise there are still unfortunate and poor children who are with not being able to see or hear.
With the desire of sharing and bringing warmth of love to those who need, Blanc. & Noir. will donate a certain amount of guest spending in 10 days leading up to the Mid Autumn Festival on 4 October.
Guests who dine with us can leave a hand written message, attach to a mini lantern and hang in the tree in the restaurant lounge.

Dining For NMO . Masterchef Christine Hà

After the astounding success of last year “Dining for NMO”, that raised over US$18,000 for scientific research by 24 restaurants across two continents, Noir. Dining in the Dark is pleased to participate for the second time. Christine Hà & Noir. Dining in the Dark invite you to join us for the second "Dining for NMO" on Monday, 17 October, 2016.
We are looking forward to an even bigger event this year as we move closer to our goal of solving NMO.

Christine Hà is a Vietnamese American Chef, writer and TV host from Los Angeles, California. She is the first blind contestant of American MasterChef and the winner of its third season in 2012. Christine Hà was also a judge on the third season of MasterChef Vietnam.

October is Blindness Awareness Month and also Noir.'s second year anniversary. On 17 October, all the proceeds from Noir.’s "Dining for NMO" will be given to The Guthy-Jackson Research Foundation Inc., an organization dedicated to find a cure for NMO. NMO, neuromyelitis optica, is a rare autoimmune disease, NMO causes vision loss and / or paralysis in the body. Because there is no cure for NMO and government funding for research is marginal, Christine Hà and Noir. invite you and your friends to support research during the second version for this annual event.

Christine Hà supports “Dining for NMO” and Noir. Dining in the Dark is the only restaurant in Vietnam participate in this event for the second year. Christine Hà will not be here as being tied up with other activities, but instead she is working with our team with her recipes & cooking to create a special menu.
